(I have been circling for a thousand years) – en utställning av konstnären Arijana Kajfes där hon visar äldre och nyare verk som alla har en gemensam nämnare i cirkelns och rotationens tecken, som återkommer som en slags besvärjelser i hennes arbeten. Hon konstruerar en slags rumslig tankekarta för att binda samman spåren som leder till de nyaste arbetena, modeller av cirkulära huskroppar som kan stå för en mångbottnad relation till kroppen, varandet och det ständiga omformandet av ett undanglidande språk för det outsägliga.

S.P.G har tidigare vid flera tillfällen visat Kajfes arbeten och förundrats över dess underliggande betydelser och preferenser. Existens, människans. S.P.G har bl a visat hennes sanddyner i miniatyr som förflyttas som i öknen stormarna, men här i ett genomskinligt tält.

Fängelseritningar av Bentham som idag påminner oss om bevakningen av människors liv och som samtidigt är vackra som snöstjärnor. Det gemensamma är processer av liv, kanske inte det enkla, det vanliga. Ändå någonting som angår och finns i oss alla, som fortsätter i en evig cirkel av förändring utan slut. Senast aktuell på Konstakademien, Stockholm 2018 med Blood is not Water.

I samband med utställningen kommer Arijana Kajfes vid två tillfällen utföra en performance. Den första sker lördagen 24 augusti kl 14.

I have been circling for a thousand years) – an exhibition by the artist Arijana Kajfes where she shows older and newer works that all have a common denominator in the sign of the circle and the rotation, which recurs as invocations in her work. She constructs a kind of spatial mind map to tie together the traces that lead to the latest works, models of circular house bodies that can stand for a multifaceted relationship with the body, being and the constant transformation of an evasive 

language of the ineffable.

S.P.G has previously shown Kajfes work on several occasions and marveled at its underlying meanings and preferences. Human existence. S.P.G has, among other things, shown her miniature sand dunes that move like in desert storms, but here inside a transparent tent.

Prison drawings by Bentham reminiscent of the surveillance of people’s lives, an the same time beautiful as snow stars. The common thing is the processes of life, maybe not the simple, the ordinary. Yet something that concerns and exists in all of us, which continues in an eternal circle of change without end. Last shown at the Royal Art Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm 2018 with Blood is not Water.

In conjunction with the exhibition, Arijana Kajfes will do a performance on two occasions. The first takes place on Saturday, August 24 at 2 pm.
